96 Tahoe Small Lift

What's up fellow Tahoe owners. So I have a 1996 two door Tahoe 4x4 that i want to lift enough to fit a 33x12.5 17 inch tire.

So I called a local shop that specializes in lifts and off road vehicles. I was told that a 2 inch leveling kit with some longer shocks and blocks in the back would be sufficient enough. I just wanted to get your opinions before I make a decision. Thanks for your time and help guys.

It sounds like it will work. It may rub on the lower control ARM or the inner fender a bit.

On my 4 door 99 tahoe I did a 3 inch body lift and ran 33x12.50’s. I had to trim the finders because I went offroading every weekend. If you keep it on the road might not need to do anything.
