The airbag warning light has been going off and on for some time now, mostly it stays on. I took it to dealer about a year ago, and they said it was a connection under the seat if I recall correctly. Does anyone know the fix for this. Do you have to disconnect battery first, and is there a danger of setting off airbag accidentally? Thanks:)

SRS problems are best suited for someone with a Tech II os Snap On type scanner with SRS capabilities. Ya have to diagnose problem first. Dealer may be only option if all of the above are not possible.
Try the 2000 Forum, maybe someone has had similar problem.

there's a loose or broken connection on the air bag module under the passenger seat. someone jammed an umbrella under my passenger seat and the same thing happened to me. find which connection is loose/broken and you're good.
