Brake Pedal Squeals

I have a 06 Tahoe, and my brake pedal squeals when depressed....any ideas? It squealed about 6 mos ago, but went away. Now it's back...braking is fine, it just squeals when the pedal is depressed.

Is it a constant squeal when the brake pedal is depressed or a squeal as the pedal is being moved? In other words, is it from the pedal itself inside the car or something in the brakes outside the car? If it's from the pedal itself you can try oiling the joints on the pedal...

my 02 does the same thing, only when being depresed. i tried wd-40 the joints in the petal but no luck....

I haven't tried wd-40 yet, but my brake pedal does not squeal all the time. It comes and goes. It hasn't squealed for the last couple of days. Maybe i'll try the wd-40
