I have a 07 Tahoe LT with 116000 miles on it and was going to take it to have a tune up but the dealer quoted me $500.00 buck for a tune up. Think I will do it myself. anyone know what kind of spark plug/Wires I should use I think I will stick with AC Delco parts. Book calls for GM part number For plugs 12571164 AC Delco Part number 41-985 but when I look up that part number I was given GM Part number 12621258 as a replacement. I also checked the AC Delco website and was given ACDELCO PROFESSIONAL
SPARK PLUG ASM
Part Number: 41-110
Product Notes:

Iridium-Spark Plug

ACDELCO SPECIALTY

SPARK PLUG ASM
Part Number: 6
Product Notes:

Rapidfire Spark Plug

Anyone got suggestions on what I should use should the replacements be Iridium or platinum

The newer plugs are a different gap. They changed from .060 thousands to a gap of .040 in 2004. Get the OEM plugs that are 41-110 AC Delco gaped at .040. Iridium. good for 100K .

Cost--I paid $7. @ for plugs and $65. for the AC Delco wire set at Oreilly Auto Parts this week. Get the wires because you wont get them all off without damageing some.
