Congrats on the new truck, and welcome! We're largely mod-freaks around here, so you've come to the right place if you're into that. If not, well you've come to the right place anyway. :D

I was looking at Cold Air, does it actually do anything?

Other then that I love the Denali as is...probably not even gonna touch the wheels.

Welcome aboard! Nice truck. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Are you part of TGO by any chance?

For the CAI, try to go with something that is enclosed so it doesn't breathe the hot air from the engine bay. Also, a composite intake tube rather metal is also better because it doesn't soak up heat as much. Cooler air is denser, which combusts easier and makes more power.

Yes, I am on TGO as well.
So I looked at the Volant Performance (link found thanks to Getwired's Sig), looks good too!

Keep in mind I am just going off what I am finding. :D

Welcome,

Nice ride, the Denali is a nice ride indeed.

Take care of it, proper maintenance will keep her running a long time.

You bet man couldn't agree more!
I have a 1988 IROC with 210k on her...
the 700R4 gave out about 6 months ago and had it rebuilt.

Next is the rear end that is going out. Other then that I agree proper maintenance is what it's all about.

Also have a 99 TA with 70K on her. Rescued her from an abusive kid. ;-)

Check out my FQuick garage.

Actually, the Denali has 2k to go on the "oil change" but I am doing it this weekend to give her a fresh start with me. Also god know what the
dealerships slap on there, know what I mean?

Oh and thanks again for all the comments, suggestions and assistance.

Damn, last couple 3rd gens I had with 700R4s didn't last at all. Even after one was rebuilt from a performance tranny shop, it didn't last long behind a mildly modded sbc. The rest of my 9 or so 3rd gens have been all T5 and swapped T56's because I can't get the 700R4 to last, even though it's rated more than the WC T5. But i have more fun bangin gears anyway, so it works out.
Anyway, enjoy your new truck! It's a nice one:thumbsup:

Loving it...

I hate to say it...
It is the luck of the draw with 700's Some are freaks and some just don't hold.

Just changed th oil..
Was great filled up Monday and didn't have to stop for gas until yesterday afternoon...
That is unheard of... ;-)
