I can't switch off the AC

I own a Tahoe 99

My AC runs even when the AC button is not activated. The AC relay in the engine compartment is ok. But there is always current across the relay coil even though AC button is not pushed and not the indication lights showing on the button. The button works since I saw the indication light turn on.

The compressor clutch looks like it's working because it switch off and on.

not sure on this one......had the same problem with my 99 so i unplugged it. but imma hafta fix soon cause its getting hot......might run a remote switch and fix it that way

I agree, the control unit in the dash must have taken a dump not allowing the signal to stop the fan to go through the system.

The AC was set to defroster mode. The Swedish manual was not so clear about it.
