Hello, Im new to the Forum and plan to be on here a good bit. Im having an issue with my engine on my 1995 Tahoe. Its 4x4 if that has anything to do with the issue. Whenever i park somewhere and just idle, i hear a graudual rattle. It starts quiet and gets a but louder but not super loud. It does it about once every 2-3 seconds. Could i be running out of radiator fluid? Suggestions? Thanks!

Check your exhaust line to make shure you don't have a shield rattling.

Can you isolate where the noise is coming from?

Does it do it at idle in gear or neutral, or both?

Go away with a slight off throttle?

Does the noise come from the bottom part of the steering wheel? If then, it can be the foam covering the air-condition hose located under the steering wheel. I had a disturbing noise from that part and I removed the bottom console. I removed the foam and greased the surface touching to the plastic cover. It works well. I hope your problem is such easy.
