starting problem

Once or twice daily I have to pour a lil gas down the throttle body to start the Tahoe. Its a 99 and Ive had this problem once before and it went away for months. Its a pain in the azz, especially now in the single digits and below zero weather up here in Minnesota. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How many miles, and how long have you owned it?

129,000 on her and Ive had it for 2 1/2 years. Have also put 2 fuel pumps on her. Gave her a complete all aroud tune up when I bought it and keep it well maintained.

There is your problem. Get a proper scan done, but I'll bet you your "cold start circuit" isn't working. It works like a choke on a carburated engine, but for computer controlled EFI.
