Z71 or Max Trailering package?

Because of the suspension differences, you can't have both. Which is a better option for mostly on-street driving?

Definitely the Z71. Ride is very rough with the extra capacity trailer option.

Z71 springs are plenty capable of most trailer towing and Chevy now offers an optional "plug and play" electric brake controller that can be added if needed.

Only drawback is that you also have to opt for the Luxury Option in order to get the Z71 option on an LT.

My 2015 Tahoe LT 4x4 with Max trailering package rides great. Not rough. The rear suspension is an auto-leveling air suspension, that also really helps stabilize the vehicle when towing a heavy trailer.
