damn i dont know whats wrong with mobil 1 but lately i havent been liking their oil , i was using valvoline synpower and it just felt so much better then mobil 1. i like how valvoline helps acceleration, and that i can feel the difference it makes, if im paying so much more for a synthetic oil i want to feel it, mobil 1 aint doing it. i used 5w30 suv in the past didnt like it, now seen the green top 0w30 claims it saves gas, guess i would give it a try aint happy next oil change switching back to valvoline synpower. imo its underrated

im sure most of you use synthetic on here, anyone trying the 0w30 "green top" and like it?

So you can "feel" the difference in the way the engine runs depending on the brand of synthetic oil that you are running???

Allrighty then, if you say so.

No need to be a dick, he was just relating how these chevy small blocks will basically run on vodka. I doubt you can tell the difference between synthetics, it takes a lab and a dyno to prove the very minuscule differences between brands. I run royal purple and it made a slight difference from the conventional that came when purchased but you could put any synthetic in my truck and I couldn't tell the difference. I did switch my diffs over to RP and I have noticed a substantial difference in acceleration and the engagement of the limited slip, amsoil and schaeffers are other worthy considerations for gear oil in these trucks. Hope this helps, best of luck dude :beerchug:

theres a slight difference. but i guess everyone their own opinion of what the best oil is to use. amsoil, rp, mobil 1 seem to be the top favorite. i work at a oil changing place and we use nothing but pennzoil oils, and i swear ill never put that garbage in my engine not even if i had a bucket with the wheels falling off would i add it. but hey lots of my friends at work love it cuz its free
