very nice... darker tails would be better... maybe if you get time one day you could take a close up of the backup camera...

Here's come close ups of the back up camera. It used to have a plastic sleeve from the key lock (which I oringally machined the ID slightly larger to acomodate the old camera) I replaced the old camera and welded a aluminum sleeve in the hole to close the diameter down. The camera is s Pyle IR, the white dots are the IR bulbs.

note: everyone's hatch is aluminum, not steel like the rest of the truck. It's done this way b/c a steel hatch would be too heavy. Just in case someone is thinking of taking their mig welder to it. I wouldn't think this would apply to those of you that have the split doors on the back.

And yes I know how bad the "fancy tea cup pinky" looks in the last one...

Forgive my ignorance but how do you get into the vehicle with no handles?

Completely understandable man, I get asked that on a daily basis. If you scroll up you will see a close up pictures of the inside of the door. There is a cylinder holding on to a section of stainless steel wire. That cylinder is actually an electro-magnet with 75lbs of pulling force. When a button is pressed on my key remote, a receiver box pulses power to the electro-magnet (actuator) and pulls the latch as if you would have, had you pulled the handle. A spring loaded push at the bottom of the door pops the door out about 6 inches.

Every door has it's own, as well as one on the rear hatch, and one on the rear glass. Every door also has it's own button to push and pop that door. I also installed 6 buttons on the ceter console that will allow me to pop any door, hatch & glass.

That's probably the most hardcore Yukon I've seen. Awesome job, do you take that to shows?

Thanks Guys

I plan on taking it to a few shows once the interior is complete. Down here in Miami people don't mess around when it comes down to hooking up their rides. I wanted to blow even them away. Once the trailer is done I'm hoping to get into a Mag or two...maybe I'm just dreaming...

If anyone wants my old carbon fiber tails, you can have them for free, just pay the shipping. I was going to toss them, but if someone wants here wants them, they're yours. They have a couple flaws but look pretty damn good, for being free.

Update on the truck, I stopped by line-x to drop off the steps from the running boards, and apparently they can color match line-X now!! Some guy got his 105th Harley anni Ford done in the same copper I painted my truck, and it looked bad ass. So I told him to do the steps in copper line-x. With the gloss black step surrounds it should look pretty sweet. I'll post pics once they are on.

nice dude. Hey, I was looking at your Kon, and I thought how would your rims look if you were to powercoat the lip copper? Since you have the black and copper look going.

Just a couple more shots that I think really give you an idea of what the copper steps do for the look of the truck. I think it really sets it off, and it only cost $100. Good idea for those of you who are looking for a quick and easy style mod, considering the step pulls right off.
