I know I haven't posted any progress on the interior yet but I've been super busy with work and fixing up my house. I did scrap the old center console and bought a 06 Escalade console I've started comtomizing to have a dock for my Ipod, touch screen monitor in the front and one in the rear to fill the area where the old rear audio contols went. Pics to come soon enough for that I hope.


But the huge development lately has been this bad boy I picked up on tues. 6.0L w/ 4L80E trans I found on ebay localy at an awesome price. Both have 68K on them and I started breaking it down yesterday after work. Here are some of the pics of the break down...There is still plenty of work to come, porting the heads, swaping the cam, swaping the output shaft on the 4L80E to a 4wd, Swaping the input shaft on my transfer case and overhualing that since it has nearly 160k on it. I need to modify the crossmember moving the mounting section back 2.5", and picking up some new driveshafts for the front and the back since the transfer case will be be moving back as well.

I am just guting the 80 to get to the back to change the output shaft, then everything goes back in. It only has 68K and doesn't really need a rebuilt, but I will be installing a Transgo Shift Kit. Not sure on the cam yet, I want good hp and tq increases so I'm thinking a middle of the road one. You suggest a TR224?

Depends on if you're gonna tow or just want to go fast. Comp makes a good tow cam and a few others that give great power without alot of duration. I think Jenna has a comp on her tahoe that really helped it out. I would strongly recommend going through the trans, better to invest the money now while it's out but I kinda like overbuilding stuff myself.
