    your boiling your brake fluid. back off the rear brakes a tad with the adjustment wheel and change the fluid.

    if your fuel pressure is good, i'de be looking at the ignition coil. plugged up cat will also let it idle ok and puke under load.

    why on earth would you want to do this? the hubs are automatics. they lock when you push the 4wd button and unlock when you push the 2wd button.

    if you stay with 575 or above you'll be fine. its just a little small block chevy so it's not going to need any huge battery to turn it over. i've started mine with the little 200 amp booster switch on my charger without trouble. i think my avalanche with the 8.1L only uses a 675 cca battery.
