I've had my California duster for a few weeks, they said it would leave streaks the first 2-3 times, I've used it about 5 times and it's still streakin. To you guys that use these, it does get better right? Just needs time to get the waxy stuff all dusted up inside it? And will it scratch the...
Thats how I was on my last truck. It had the SS 6.0, long tubes, intake, corsa catback, dyno tune, shift kit, drag tires. Then I decided I'd get the tahoe and keep it stock performance wise and just do cosmetics. It's gettin hard not to go to work on the engine...
Back when I had lifted silverados the MPG didn't stay the same as stock. You will loose MPG when lifting because the added weight of the tires, off road tire tread, suspension weight, etc.
Haha notcied that right after I posted, looks good like that. Way better without the orange. I'm curious to see what the blacked blinker will look like.
:duel:
From what I've seen for suspension you got the main guys like McGaughy's, Ground Force, DJM and Belltech. I'm lookin into droppin the back some to level it out, but I'm not sure which company is the best quality yet. They all make kits for the hoe's though.
** Just noticed you already...
I want to drop my rear about 1.5" to level it out. Looks like the two companys that offer somthing would be McGaughy's or Ground Force.
Anyone leveled theirs out? With either of these kits?
Pics or comments would be appreciated:thumbsup:
Yeah opinions on his lights. NOT for a suggestion on changing out his already nice lookin custom wheels, and tellin him it looks like his ride was done up by Home Depot spray paint :skep:
I recommend goin with 22's to save you some sidewall on your tires and ride quality. If you don't care about that go with the 24's because they will fill out the wheel well better. You could do a leveling kit or a 2"/3" drop would be good.
I think you are definitely on the right track, somthin needs to be done about those orange corners. They just need to be done away with and still look clean up front. Either way you go it will look better w/o the orange. Don't worry bout the "tryin to look to black" or "it'll look cheap"...
I've already got the wheels and got some smooth riding tires, as mentioned the shocks are my next move toward helping the ride. Guess besides people lifting not many have touched the shocks.
A leveling kit would save me more comfort than a 2/3 spindle drop right?
One of my main concerns is a smooth ride. Obviously there has gotta be some better shocks out there than the stockers. Maybe some might make this ride like a caddy. I was wondering if any with 07-08's have swapped their shocks out?
With the 22's and eventually a 2"-3" spindle drop I think I'm...
