Ty, let me know if you do that and how it goes. I wanna do the same on mine and I'm curious as to what brand you go with and how hard it is. Keep us posted!
Ty, got that magnaflow hooked up. I love it. Its a bit louder than stock, no drone in the cab. Its the 22", with a chrome tip. Sounds like its got some attidute but not too loud.
Good, then I got it. Then I should just check the position of the in/out and make it the same on the new one. Thanks for talking that thru with me. Yeah, I hear ya about the money. The only reason I am doing this now is the baffle came loose on the stocker and it rattles like hell when I start...
I just don't want to go to the shop with it cause if they don't overcharge me for the magnaflow then they'll try to sell me some pos muffle that I don't want. But, that might be what I end up doing. Got a neighbor that has done some muffler stuff. He said to use a sewing measuring tape, wrap it...
What magnaflow (part number) did you go with? Is it very loud and is there a drone in the cab? And how did you find out what the inlet size was for your truck? I'm getting ready to do the same thing and I just had a couple of questions, I dont want to screw it up.
I getting ready to buy a new magnaflow muffler online for my 05 tahoe and have my local shop put it on for me. I'm just not sure which one to go with. I just want a single in and single out. How do I find out for sure what size pipe I have coming into the muffler? I will probably want to go with...
Mine does the same thing. I've owned the Tahoe for a couple of months, its bugged me ever since. Finally, the other day, I looked close to see what the heck was making all the noise and found it is the very top of the door seal rubbing across the seal on the body when the door is almost closed...
yeah, I've had the same thing happen when I'm driving down the road. After a few min its reads pressure again. Its done it a couple of times when I know there is air in there.
I just installed the Vette Servo today. Took about an hour and a half. I took my time. Had to pull the cover off a couple of times because the inner spring came off and I didin't realize it. Its not real difficult, just print off the instructions from this thread and follow them. I'm no mechanic...
Thanks for the tip, Ed. I just got my servo in yesterday and I should be getting to it this weekend. I'm a little nervous about doin it, so I checked with a local tranny shop. He said he charged $50/hr and he wasn't sure how long it would take. So I told him I'd just do it myself and I don't...
I put katskins in my 05 Tahoe. They basicly remove the cloth and put the new leather covers right over the existing seats. They look very professional and you cant tell them from stock. I paid about $1200 bucks for all three rows in my truck. Good luck!
I don't believe it will make much of a difference. You should get the same results with either. I think on something like a filter its best to go with OEM.
