Okay, today Sunday was sunny and temps in the high 30s and 40s so I reconnected the battery. The dash lights blinked and the hazard flashers were blinking. I had swapped out the battery before and did not run into this problem.
I have two key fobs. One came with the car and the second is...
I have a 1999 Tahoe 4x4 5.7. The other night the vehicle stopped running and it turned out to be the alternator. The night it broke down I towed it with a tow rope and hazard flashers on. The vehicle ignition was in the on position and the vehicle placed in neutral.
I removed the battery...
Thanks. Friend came over. Took off the wheel and we stuck a long pry bar between the top nut of the link and the rod above the sway bar. While one of us lifted up on the pry bar, thus pushing down on the link, the other was able to thread the other end. We also used a 5 inch conduit pipe...
I've got a '99 4X4 and the right sawy bar link snapped. I ordered ACDELCO replacement parts kit (2 links) figuring that if one snapped the other can't be far behind. I was able to get the link and bushings in place but can't compress the bushings enough to thread the nut. So far the end of...

Well I finally replaced the sensor. It makes a difference. For those that wrote about the sensor on this forum I say thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It took me longer than expected since I was working alone and didn't have the use of a shop manual and I had to get up and down...
My '99 4x4 with about 68k on it had a soft pedal. I changed the rotors and pads and adjusted the rears. The pedal isn't soft anymore. After spring I'll do the drums in the back.
I was thinking of the brake switch also might be the problem. Never thought about the servo.
Is there any way to test which part, servo, brake switch, turn signal stalk, cruise module, stretched cable, might be causing the problem?
I have a '99 Tahoe 4x4. The cruise control works intermittently. What are my remedies? Change the unit on the firewall? Change the cable from the unit? Change the driver's stalk? Which is the most logical reason for it too be inconsistent? On my Astro van I changed the driver's stalk and...
