You can add anything at a later time. However, if you want a super clean install and possibly lower labor rates (if you are paying someone else for the install), you should purchase all the different add-ons before you start your install. What are you looking to add?

DEI is integrating some of their alarms and bypass units so you can wire them up D2D, using a serial cable that connects both of them together. The problem with that; Here is a link where one guy wired it up using D2D, and he was able to disarm his 5901 by unlocking the door with his key. So...

Ah...ok. I see now. It that case, follow JK's advice. You will have to pull out your gauge cluster and tap on a wire to A4. Then just run this wire over to your eclipse's speed sense wire. If you installed your own stereo, then this part should be very easy for you.

If you are willing to re-wire the entire truck...yes. Depending on whether you buy new harnesses or find used ones, new or used BCM's, new or used PCM's, etc. plan on spending a couple to several thousand dollars to re-wire everything. Good luck on your project.

I hooked it up at the amp, underneath the center console. I circled where I entered the carpet, after running it underneath the driver's seat, and I circled where I made the connection. You can also find the wires underneath the cupholders, but I found I found it easier and more roomy to...
