That's my plan for now. Who knows. I hit it with the dremel on the back sides to test before hitting the wood grain section. But yeah... I'm not doing any more until I get to test fit the other one again. Just seems odd.
It's looking more and more like that. What's got me puzzled is that the one I tested from my sister's 08 LTZ fit perfectly IIRC. I actually got the p/n from her's. Guess I need to double check one last time before breaking out the Dremel
I took out the entire stock bezel tray not just the cup holder. The only thing holding the tray in the console are the retaining clips which are identical on the new bezel with the doors. Both pieces are VERY close to the same size. The only place it doesn't quite fit is on the corners...
Okay, I've been messing with this for a while. I have an 07 Suburban LTZ and it has the open bezel with the removable cup holder. I have been wanting to replace it with the wood grain bezel that has the two doors that pivot open. I could never figure out what the p/n was to get. As it turns out...
Yep. That's where I installed my LockPick as well. Glad I did since I have accessed it several times. My cameras are still sitting in the boxes as I haven't had an ounce of time to spend getting them installed. Great information on this thread regardless. Hopefully one of these days I'll be...
Just an update. I got this problem figured out. Basically since I updated the NAV disc and the software was updated as well, I needed to flip the switch on the Lockpick for the later build date... dip switch one and voilà ! Problem solved.
Whew! :ura1:
I thought about going back a version but everything else seems to be working fine with the Lockpick operation. I didn't really know the process for reverting back a version. It's that simple?
Just something I noticed. I have had the GMX-322 and it's great. After updating my NAV software with the latest version, I am no longer able to watch DVD's on the front screen as I did before. I'm going to check the settings on the lockpick but initially it seems there is something blocking this...
I don't know of a pemanent override but another method, which I use, is to hold the headlight knob to the off position while starting the truck. Once it's running I release the knob.
I'm ready to get time and work on it for sure. Hoping to get some time over the holiday's to spend tinkering around and getting everything installed. I'll def. post up pics once done. Be patient however...
I checked the seller's pages and he had the power connectors that plugged directly into the camera power connector. Then, like you mentioned, there are pigtails off that for power and ground.
I ordered these same cameras for the mirrors. Did you just cut off the end of the power cable on the camera cable and splice the positive and negative?
