    Advice on changing tire size.

Nope, you need a stiffer sidwall like a "LT" tire. A "p" rated tire will always have weaker sidwalls than a LT one. Tires have a load rating, ie, "C" "D" "E" where as E rating has a much stiffer sidewall cause it has more "plys" in its construction. It will cost more too than a C rated tire.

Ha ha, I lost about a pint of blood changing out that plug on my 04 Z71. That dang alum drip pan is SHARP. Wear gloves when doing that one.

    05 Tahoe Z71 4WD concerns

Copied from another site, but this is spot on: Start with the cheap fixes and go from there. Dash switch - Common on 01-02 trucks. Not very common on 03+ trucks. Based on what I read here someplace. Front actuator - This is becoming more common as our trucks get older. Encoder sensor - VERY...

    Could use some help y'all!!

How much do the drop springs drop it? Only thing I can think of is the stock shocks may be too long with the drop. If only an inch, I think you'd be ok.

    Rough Country 2" level kit

No stupid questions. If raises the front and rear. It uses re-indexed keys to lift the front and 3/4" spacers for the rear coil springs.

Just crank up the front torsion bars a little to level it. Free. All you need is a 18mm socket and long ratchet.

RC keys and shocks w/new shoes

OK, finally put my RC level kit on with shocks. Keys in front, but I didnt add the 3/4" rear spacers as I figured I wouldnt need them for the tires. Went with Cooper ST/Maxx 285-70-17's, for now. The fenders sit right at 37" but I'm still able to get 39" when the keys are maxed out. I have 1.5"...

    05 wont crank occasionally

OK, update on mine. Let Tahoe sit overnight, Voltage 12.2, no start. Hook jumper box up, voltage now 12.5 also no start. Used jumper cables and a known good battery (my 98 dodge truck) now voltage is at 13.2. Starts like nothing is wrong. Once started, voltage jumps to 14.3 to charge the...

    05 wont crank occasionally

Mine is doing the same thing, but I haven't figured out how to get it to crank. Swapped relays around, checked crank fuse. Havent checked neutral safety switch yet, or the starter switch. Even banged the hell out of the starter this last time, nothing. Battery is 3 months old. I had the charger...

    MPG!!!

What affects fuel mileage most of all is your right foot. Drive like you have a egg between your foot and the gas pedal, that will net the most gain.

    04 Tahoe A/C problems

Yep, its the blend door actuator. There are 3 or 4 of them under the dash. They go bad and cause the exact symptoms you describe. http://www.sparkys-answers.com/2009/09/2004-chevrolet-tahoe-blows-hot-air.html
