I wouldn't use duct tape as its hard to clean off, instead use the blue painters tape, that tape holds real well and comes off super easy.

The chrome cover for the hatch that I put on a week after I bought the truck was put on after I wiped down the area with alcohol and I'M afraid if I try and remove the chrome covers now that I just may pull the hatch off with it. haha

Not sure if there was an update or not on the DVD but I know I could never operate the damn unit the right way and with the new disc I can operate it with ease.

The heat gun is the ticket here. get the mirror cover and the chrome trim cover both heated up.

I keep forgetting that this is a tahoe forum, I own a suburban and it's ether the 5.3 or the 6.0 in the LTZ. I guess its the 5.3 or 6.2 in the tahoe?

You need to get the area that your applying the cover to clean and grease free. Wash the area with car soap and water and then rub the area with alcohol and a clean towel. The 3M tape that was supplied with the cover is more then significant to hold for years to come.

Yes 5.3 and you can upgrade to the 6.0 . there is no 4.8 for the tahoe.

For all the trouble that you have caused this dealer I would move on to another dealer. Who knows just what they may do to your truck now? Hummmmm a scratch here and a scratch there??? I say caused them trouble because when you open a complaint with GM that's what you did.

I'M not sure, if I were to take a guess I would have to say that the DL8 doesn't have the power fold and LED's?

Well I just ordered one from ebay for $175 + 15 shipping from a guy that has them in stock. I just got off the phone with him and he said its new surplus and not a flaw on it.

I really haven't been in the truck in the past few days. I'll fool around with it later today and tomorrow as I'M off from work for the next week.

Did you buy the truck used, if so maybe it's only available to the original owner?

Thanks guys. I was just on ebay and I seen a few for $70 to $150.00. I'll wait till I call the dealer and get there price before make a bid.

The cap and the bottom housing are both cracked. And that's what I thought...

I hit my right mirror and cracked the housing, the mirror itself is fine as well as the LED's, folding motor and heat. is there a way to buy just the shell or do I need to buy a whole new mirror? What site can I order the part that I need as I don't want to bring her into the dealer to get raped.
