Ok my fuel gauge is doing the well known shake rattle and roll dance, (actually just the hummingbird shake) but I have a brand new fuel pump and replaced the wire harness that was included in the box, still had issue, replaced gauge cluster and issue got worse. I have a buddy who had a wrecked...
Ok guys, today I changed out thermostat, and the temp sensor that's right under the thermostat and topped off the coolant started and ran beautiful!!! Drove a total off 100 miles and as usual the she used the same amount of fuel as before the problem. RESULTS!
After work tomorrow I'm going to...
Went today and had the dumped exhaust fixed with a Y pipe and stock looking tail pipe in stock location, still sounds nice but not dumped anymore, I have to say what a difference, however I did drive like 100 miles today and noticed my temp gauge not getting above 100deg, and after talking to...
So today I went to muffler shop and had them install a y pipe and stock looking exhaust pipe, WOW what a difference! Still has the weird sound when it idles down tho, maybe just because its so "open" as the muffler tech says. As for the temp it reads 195 on scope but found that the sensor that...
The shop didn't give me that info. I did check and recheck all the plugs wires and cap/rotor the old plug was wet the new ones I installed are dry as a bone all the way around still. As far as the misfire both shops explained they checked for that at idle, under load and throughout driving and...
I took the Tahoe to a second shop who said they would give a second opinion on the first shops verdict. They had truck all day testing everything they could, no fuel leaks, pressure tested good and held pressure, they cut observation holes in front and behind cats stuck in lights and a scope...
Your right on the two doors the tank is mounted in the middle but there is some other stuff in the way like charcoal canister, brake lines, fuel lines and some other stuff.
Also today I cleaned maf sensor with the maf spray cleaner, cleaned throttle body with the proper cleaner. Checked all my plug wires again, and listens for vacuum leaks. While truck was running I sprayed throttle body cleaner around the lines and intake and it did not idle any different, nor...
Took Tahoe into a shop today and the ran every test they could and hooking it to their computer and they said only things stored in the history was abs related but was just in history and not to worry, no misfires, no drivability issues nothing... They said use a hotter thermostat or take to a...
The very back plug on passenger side was wet, as the plug are pretty new they still looked pretty clean.
Is this a hard part to replace? You say inside the intake manifold, do I have to pull the intake manifold to get to it?
No it's never hard to start. Starts right up every time. Some times it does turn over a time or two like all my other cars, and sometimes it seems like it starts right up but it doesn't even turn over once (hope that makes sense).
I did a visual on the plugs wires and vacuum hoses and...
The stains that won't come out could be fixed with a simple can of blue magic. I have a 2dr Tahoe with the medium grey which is pretty light It had some stains where the dash cup holders failed at their only job, came right up. I have used this stuff for years and never had a stain that...
Hello guys and gals, I'm going to start off with thanks for everything you guys have already given me, and hope we can figure this out together!!
I have a 98 Tahoe 2dr with the 350 vortec 5.7l engine and it is running rough, and consuming waaaay more fuel than it used to. I drive mostly...
I ran into same thing, I wanted duals out the rear but the two shops I took it to wouldn't do it because of the items in the way. I ended up with two new borla mufflers for free and had them dumped right in front of real axel. I would not suggest this as it sounds like crap... Way to loud for...
Does anyone have the tailgate bowtie for a 2007-2013 chevy pick-up, maybe someone removed their emblems and they have it laying around and wouldn't mind some cash for it?
I am needing one for a project I'm working on and don't want to have to pay crazy prices from dealer or ebay... I live in...
I really like the chevy emblem on the tailgates of the 2007-2013 chevy trucks, I am updating my tahoe with new emblems, I have tried everything local to get one except molesting someone's truck and stealing it, which ill never do since stealing is not my cup-o-tea. I found new and used ones on...
The same thing happened to my 2002 trailblazer, did this dismantle, clean re-grease and wipers worked like new... Took about an hour to an hour 1/2 but was well worth the 7-10$ I spent as opposed to the $200 for a new unit. Difficulty level would be 3-4 out of 10 with 10 being take to a shop...
Update:
Went to finally replace the switch guy at autozone said pull the flasher and replace it before buying multifunction switch, he let me try it for free... Took out old flasher installed new on, replaced with old one to give back the borrowed new flasher and problem has not come back...
