2003 vs 2005 Suburban (or Yukon XL)

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. I wound up going with the 2003 Yukon XL, and we're very happy with it. We've already had the instrument cluster replaced, but the dealership that we got it from took care of it for us at no cost. It had the usual cluster issue.

2005 Yukon XL with steering column replaced twice?

Let's say it has frame damage and was then repaired.. Let's say the worst has happened, and it was in an accident and repaired. Can you do sufficient repair work on a vehicle to repair frame damage? Or would you never want to touch a car that's had frame damage, no matter how good the...

2005 Yukon XL with steering column replaced twice?

That explains the possible issues with the steering shaft, but you don't think I should also be concerned that they had to replace the front shocks and drive belts inside of two years? We like the car, just don't want to buy a lemon :-)

Adding a middle front seat to a Suburban

So it sounds like the consensus is that adding that center seat should be no problem At any rate, what it's sounding like is that people don't think adding the center seat will an issue, and that it should work no problem? Is that right? I just have to find a seat, of course.

Adding a middle front seat to a Suburban

So towards closer to the peak of the high gas prices I wish I had bought then. The high gas prices really brought the price down on these big vehicles. Are you still interested in a trade with a tan interior color on the console? I don't have pictures at the moment but I googled a...

2003 vs 2005 Suburban (or Yukon XL)

Is that this? http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f53/2003-tahoe-speedometer-problem-12909/index2.html If so it sounds like it's covered as long as you get the repair done inside of 70,000 miles and 7 years. So I think we will be fine on this 2003, at least as far as that issue goes.

Adding a middle front seat to a Suburban

Well, it's more of a tan color The interior is more of a tan color. It's leather. For our part we don't have to match the color exactly. If your center seat is cloth we might get a wet okole or something to protect it from spills. Unfortunately it's inevitable in our family that...

2003 vs 2005 Suburban (or Yukon XL)

Hi All, We're looking at a 2003 Yukon XL at the moment. I had one friend tell me that "he thinks he remembers hearing" that the 2003 and/or 2004 powertrain had some problems that was corrected in either the 2005 model year. I've been searching on this and haven't come up with anything...

Adding a middle front seat to a Suburban

Hi All, We're looking for a Suburban/Yukon XL, and we really like the 9 passenger configuration. We came across a good deal on a 2003 Yukon XL, but it's an 8 passenger (two front, three middle, three rear). We're wondering about just buying this one and replacing the center console in the...
