have a 2016 tahoe z71. yesterday while driving more spirited than normal i noticed the vehicle was hung up on a gear hovering and pegged right around 3400 rpm. none the less was a bit strange and has happened a few times. any others with this issue. might need a reprogramming on the shift points...

could be the mic not being reattached, connect another phone and see if the problem persists, if so, it must be mic connections, the mics are in the headliner, 4 i believe

Any ideas why the chose not to put any fender flairs or distinguishing trim on the z71 beside the front bumper and badging? If you look closely at a pic of this Russian Spec Tahoe LTZ, it even has some fender trim. Is it the bean counters? Plus the smoked tail lights look amazing.

Any ideas if this put additional burden or load on transmission. Will this affect longevity of vehicle? Thanks

Sounds like you guys got some great deals. Dealership are hardly dealing down here due to rebate and other incentives on the vehicles. Seems like they are as low as they can go. Best price already seems set here.

Interesting. My mom complained about the seats being smaller. She has a 04 Tahoe Z71 and said they felt smaller. Must have some merit in the comment. I disagreed and said I dont think so. Now driving long distance I do fell as though it is smaller in size than even my 14 Z71 Tahoe.

Youre better off with your phone and the wifi enabled. I also love the onstar guidance and nav. Has been effort free for me. Altough I am curious to hear what everyone else says.

Price of CAFE standards. I will tell you the 3.42 helps. I was purchasing a GMC Yukon with the standard rear end gear. I opted for the 3.42 and the hesitation was eased. Wasn't a big issue, it just felt I had to stab the accelerator to get it to be responsive at times.

For a 50K+ rig, its not hard to justify buying one for piece of mind. Their longevity and durability speaks in contrary to purchasing a extended warranty.

Can you provide more info on mileage? Any other issues in regards to this?

Carfax is worthless, taking it to a shop to take a once over of frame and panels may be a better option

Yep agree with dace, that's one area in both Tahoes I've had no problem, cold as ice.
