It would be nearly impossible to suggest anything without seeing it firsthand (of a good video). I would recommend getting inventive with the cup holder and other rattling issues. Use foam or a rubber pad or something and some kind of sealant for the panels. Keep investigating those other sounds.
Used car salesmen are like homeless people. They wander around the car lot trying to get your money. That was just the thought I had after reading this lol.
In all seriousness, check the bluebook value on it (looks like you did). Test drive the vehicle and listen for anything out of the norm...
Usually the starter will still make a click.
Is it clicking or not doing anything. Is your gear indicator working correctly? Could be the starter relay, connection problem (fuse, relay, possibly starter) or wiring. Like rocken said, does your security light come on?
It would seem that 70+ mph is the magic number for vibration if your vehicle is going to vibrate. I've owned multiple vehicles in the past that did it and I've seen numerous vibration dampers on later model vehicles I believe were added to try and combat this. There are many reasons it could...

I don't recall, but I think I swapped it with the next valve over along with the rocker arm. I'm pretty sure I blew them out too before I put them back in. I'll try more when I get the time.
I know what sound you are talking about and both the 02 tahoe and my 01 yukon make it. This is not that noise. It doesn't matter if it's warm or cold. It's always noticeable above 1800 rpms unless that one rocker arm is removed. I will make a video so you can see what I mean.
Well looks like I will be pulling the pan lol. I've seen that TSB before but didn't think that would be it. Seems like a lot of miles (157k) for it to be that problem though.
So I bought my 02 Tahoe this way. Noticed a tapping noise as I was driving it home above 1800 rpms. Sounds more like a lifter or something similar. I replaced all the lifters on the side that was making the noise and I still have the ticking.
Before I changed the lifters I removed the #1...
Sounds like fun! I've fully rebuilt a Chevy small block 350 gen 1 and 2 dodge 4.7L so you can ask if you have any questions or need any help. I've also pulled a head off my 02 Tahoe so I have a good feel for the inner workings of it. It's a awesome thing your wife likes helping out too. My...
Well if it's just a bad gauge you wouldn't have to rebuild it. How bad does it consume oil? I would change the gauge first and see how it does. If oil consumption isn't bad (having to add 1 quart every ~2000-4000 miles depending on how much you drive it) I don't think a rebuild is in order...
Just an OBDII reader won't pull ABS codes. Does the brake light come on too? If it does you probably have a bad ABS module. If not one of your wheel sensors or wiring is probably bad. The dealer can read ABS codes but they charge quite a bit. I found sheared wiring on mine but I bought it with...
