Check the plug on the harness to the encoder motor. Mine was messed up and it costs me 2 encoder motors. My symptoms were similar to yours.

Go with the 275s. I think too much is made of computer interface issues when making relatively small changes in tire sizes. Went from 265 70 17 to 275 55 20 on my 05 Z71 without a thought and no issues.

2005 Tahoe with factory navigation system, I am getting repetitive "CD error" message which I can sometimes overcome by removing and reinserting the CD. Is this a CD (disc) problem, or a problem with the system itself?

Where exactly is it, back seat or 3rd row?

I have a 2005 Tahoe with the dual zone climate control. the temp controls have started to act weird, they will not respond to temp adjustments in the morning until it has been driven a few miles. Numerous lights in the control panes have gone out also. How big of a job is it to replace this...

As the title says, got an '05 Z71 with LTZ 20s and 275-55-20 tires. Time for new tires soon, would like to go 315-50 or thereabouts. What can I fit with using a leveling kit only? I drive a lot of miles, and do not want to destroy the ride or handling. Thanks!

I have a 2005 Z71. It has 20" 2008 LTZ wheels with the OEM 275-55-20 tires. How much bigger can I go if I install a leveling kit? I would like to go around a 305 or 315. I don't want to lift it as I do a lot of highway driving. The only off road is on the beach. Thanks for any input.
