Z71 came with 265/65R18 but replacements in the Michelin LTX-MS tire I was looking for are indefinitely backordered. I've been down the "tires are in production" loop before and it turned out to be a 3 month wait; Not again.
Are there any consequences of using a 255/70R18 instead?
Theoretically the sidewalls are each just 6 1/4 mm taller, just a 1/4".
Both are 112T rating.
Or would it better to move up to 275/65R18 which has each sidewall 6 1/2 mm, still 1/4" taller than original?
Wider might be more cost and maybe more rolling resistance.
Use is mostly paved road, an occasional groomed dirt road.
Any issues with the computer system making that change?
