Old thread I know, but wondering if anyone can tell me further info on whether or not I have to do anything as far as ABS scan tool or special bleeding on a 2005 Tahoe with RPO's JL4 (control, Active Brake) and JH2 (Brakes Disc/Disc) ??

This is how they work wired to the trailer plug wiring. Both segments flash and brake, just like the old days. Much more noticeable, in my opinion.

Newer will not work. Must put older ones in, then you will have to do the re learn to get the light out.

Acts like a bad ground somewhere, causing current to flow through other filaments to reach a ground. JMO

Welcome. All I can say is get rid of those "ugly a$$ tail lights"! And, be sure to do the High & Low beam mod, so you can see at night. JMO

Use a length of heater hose as a make shift stethoscope to pin point the noise before you replace what doesn't need to be.....

As I said, Powered with the camera cable, it's only on when you go into reverse and/or operate a switch on the backup lights on my rack anyway. It works without hesitation with the cable, but you can only do that with the VRBCS335WCA with the 25' cable. Cheers,

I did it on my X3 Racing lights, by wiring both sections in each unit to the trailer connector wiring.
