typically, the mounting is different between the 105a and the higher amperage alternators. Call a gm dealer and give them the last 8 digits of the vin and they can tell you what you have. Or, tell me the last 8 and I can check as I work at a gm dealer.

The yoke being referred to is part # 12479383. There is a bulletin for this clunk and that is the fix for it. It lists for about $194 and you may as well put a new u joint in there while you are at it.
