    good sound system

Pioneer and infinty reference would be a good upgrade over stock. I made my living in car audio for 20+ years. Sound is personal preference. Buy what sounds good to you. Try to listen to speakers you are interested in in someone elses vehicle, not on a sound board. Honestly, new speakers...

Driver's seat is bending towards centre console

Do you roll in the "gangsta lean" Meaning do you lean toward the center of the truck with the majority of your upper body weight on the arm rest or center console? If you do,that is what happens to the seat back over time.

So got screwed w/ an escalade hood *pics*

I think the labor involved with making it fit will exceed the price of replacing it with the right hood. Not to mention, the cowl scoop area goes well into the front portion, where the mod would have to be made.

Empty Space for Factory CD Player

I did this several years ago. A din headunit will fit, but as 96procomp said, you will have to cut to get it in there. That is the first Sony in car in navigation system in there. (relocated the HVAC controls as well)

New-B here. Whats the right way to lower

If you want to lower, and maintain ride quality, stick with spindles, and/or torsion keys. spindles will obviously raise the spindle height, with no effect on ride quality, and keys will re-index your torsion bars without increasing tension/reducing travel. In the rear, shackles and hangers will...

My Tahoe Being Painted - Pics Inside

Damn, what a mess. Hope it turns out ok for you. I just went through this with my Burb,(just got it back from the bodyshop Friday) although not as bad. Mine wasn't crashed, had to have the whole roof redone, cause the the guy who painted it for me used cheap paint. Ended up painting the whole truck.

    How to tighten up steering?

A common problem on newer trucks is the steering coupler (from the column to the box) A friend had this fix done at the dealer, but it didn't last long. a few over on FSC have used these.http://ww2.borgeson.com/TRUCKS/CHEVY.html

What Backspacing Is Best For 20" Wheels

I run a 20x10 6",b/s and a 295/45 on the rear of my Suburban with a 4/6 drop. so you may want to run a bigger tire with a 4" drop. Hard to get ride comfort out of performance/SUV tires.

    Finally Wheels!!!

Looks great. Like I always say, tires, wheels, and stance make the vehicle, and determine the direction of the look it will have. You got some sidewalls on there. I like that too.

    HO Alternator

Stock battery should be fine. It's only there to provide starting power. Once started, your alternator supplies needed power to your electrical accessories, unless you have a large audio system. http://www.nationsautoelectric.com/highamp.html
