I am having the problem where my Tahoe shifts out of 2WD into neutral. I can get it to move if I throw it into 4WD High and then get back into 2WD after a little driving.I have read some posts on this and tried a few things. Did resistance test on pushbutton panel/dropped encoder motor and it seemed to be functioning through all button pushes/ disconnect the control module while
the vehicle was in 2WD. I thought if I disconnected the "electronic portion of the system" that the T-case would be locked into the last setting (2WD) but it still kicked it into Neutral. It doesn't happen when I am in 4hi or lo. Trying to exhaust all my options before I go to a place to get T-case rebuilt and drop some dollars. Any flaws in my trouble shooting or suggestions would be appreciated.
