This thing, for no reason what so ever, started with a misfire on 05/03/25 on the way home from East Texas. I was just sitting and idling while my wife looked for a location on Maps. When I placed her in D and started to go, suddenly just started misfiring. I had no option but drive her home 109 miles back home with the misfire.
The next morning I ran diag with an OBD dongle and Car Scanner ELM OBD2. I was given a single code, P0301 so I went to the parts store and picked up a single spark plug and coil. Installed them and NOPE. Ordered some generic 10.5mm wires from Amazon and ran some more diagnostics and some "Data Recording" using the App. During which, suddenly the fuel gauge stopped working. I ran codes again and got P0301, PP0463, P0300, P0463, & P0453.
FRUSTRATING!!
Research led me to learning that this thing has AFM so I researched that. I do not feel that I am having AFM issues.
Live Data shows misfires on 2, 3, 5, and 7.
Testing on 'Noncontinuous Monitors', revealed a shit show at the 02 sensors one day and the next, ONLY an issue with the EVAP Monitor.
I DO NOT KNOW what to do at this point other than dump her and replace her with something old school with points, condenser, rotor, etc. FUCK THESE 'global warming' engines and FUCK GORE!
