Recently purchased (1Mo) Tahoe appears to have a rain water ingress somewhere around the top of the windshield or maybe through the trim strips on each side of the roof. Went through three separate heavy rainstorms yesterday and at highway speeds heard a noise overhead before the sunroof that sounded like water being blown around inside the paneling. No visible sign of water and after several miles, it appeared to go away or get blown out by the high speed wind each time after the rain had stopped and road dried.
Had what I though was a similar problem with my 2011 Tahoe but could never identify the problem or verify it was water ingress.
Anyone have a similar problem with this model?

Just talked with my svc mgr and they did not know about it but after talking with his body shop mgr they found that a bulletin has been released by GM on 8/3/2020 (day I took delivery) and it is the result of water accumulating in the drain tray for the sunroof and takes a while to drain down the scuppers after a heavy rain. Not a fix but seems to make sense and GM is aware of it. Had the svc manager make a note of it in my file in the event that is a problem going forward. Was concerned about corrosion but he informed me the structure up top is aluminum and not steel. years down the he road suggested that I check the drains to make sure they are not clogged with dirt or tree debris.

You can use low pressure air to clean those out. I believe there are drains on each side.

Plus, this post should be in the 2015 to 2020 section. Maybe a mod or admin can move.
