Hey guys,

Does anyone know if the Nitto TerraGrappler 295/70/17s will fit on the stock wheels? I've got a 2 inch leveling kit up front, and I'm running the BFG 285/70/17s right now. (Powdercoated the wheels black, so i dont wanna buy new rims.) I want to try the TerraGrapplers for my next set, and i'd LIKE to be able to run a slightly wider tire if i can. The Nitto website says the 295 is approved for 8 inch to 9.5 inch wheels, and the stockers are 7.5 inch. I've seen some of the NNBS silverados running the 295s, but i dunno how safe that technically is. Wouldn't want a blow out or any potential issues, and I'm not sure how strict those guidelines are. Thanks in advance for any help!

You should be fine.....only thing you may see over time is the center of the tire wearing more then the edges.

I got them from America's Tire (Discount Tire). I had to call around and try to get quotes, because it was a pretty involved swap out. I bought a set of stock 17 inch Yukon rims for $100 total and had them powdercoated black, and had to have my OWN stock rims dismounted in order to pull the TPMS out and put those on the black rims and mount the BFGs on there. Then had to have my old set re-mounted and ended up giving them to my Dad to throw on his Silverado.

Got the guy at my local America's Tire to do all that for $1000 out the door.

Try the Discount Tires Direct site or they even have an eBay store... I found some cheaper, but then I would have had to pay for shipping.
