3/3 suspension lift...new shocks?

I am lifting my 2000 tahoe LS three inches, suspension only, and ive been given the yes and no answer to do i need new shocks for that much lift?

Yes, you need a bigger shock. If you don't - you will have a horrible ride. But you may want to post in 2000 - 2006 area to get better feedback.

I was a little quick to respond, but if its a body lift or even a spacer kit, you most likely will not need it because the original shock is not extended -just the body. With a suspension lift, you will need a bigger shock. Sorry for the confusion.
