I have a 2004 Tahoe and the 4wd service light came for a bit last week as my wife was driving, it has not come on since. Not sure if this possible or not, maybe its just our error but 4Hi has engaged a couple times. We swear that we did not hit or push any of the buttons. I had a 98 S10 blazer at one time and occasionally when shifting it was possible to push one of the buttons accidentally and engage 4wd. On the Tahoe the buttons seem to be in a much better place.
Anyway is there any tool out there that can scan for a 'C" code besides a TEch 2?
I just want to check and see if i have codes stored as a result of the light coming on.
