Hi guys, I've just joined this site because there is probably a combined experience of several million man hours working car issues. So, here is mine...
I have a worn bleeder screw on my 2002 Yukon 5.3 Flex 4x4. The one I was sold as a replacement by AutoZone is shown on the left and has a 1.5 pitch screw thread. The one on the right is the one I removed and has a 1.0 pitch thread.
Auto zone's advice was, "yeah, you just jam it in there and it will recut its own thread". Seriously?
So I went to GMC and they produced the same part for me! The old one has apparently been discontinued.
What are the options? Does anyone know where you can get the correct bleeder screws?
Many thanks in advance.
