i have a 2000 gmc yukon(new body) and was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my sideview mirrors to the ones with blinkers. has it been done and is it difficult or too much to go through? has anyone here done it before.i wanted to use some factory mirrors but any decent aftermarket ones would do. id love to see some pics.

I did this conversion about a month ago. The glass part of the mirrors pops right out and the ones with the turn signal pop right back in the same place. The toughest part is running the new wires to make them work. Going through the door boot can be a little bit of a P.I.T.A.

DRIVER SIDE: Probe the Light Blue wire to verify that flashing turn indicator
power is present. Deactivate the turn indicator and depress the brake to make
sure you have not located the rear turn wire. Label that wire as front, DRIVER
SIDE TURN. PASSENGER SIDE: Probe the Dark Blue wire to verify that
flashing turn indicator power is present. Deactivate the turn indicator and
depress the brake to make sure you have not located the rear turn wire. Label
that wire as front, PASSENGER SIDE TURN.
NOTE: Triple check to ensure you have the correct indicator wire, as there
are several of them to choose from.
MUTH makes a nice set with instructions.

Aww poo. :cryin:

It just occurred to me that if I do this I will lose the electro-chromatic function of the mirror. I do too much night driving in front of poorly aimed HID's to lose that.:mad2:
