My heater blower only works on high. Any advice for fixing before I spend a lot of dough at the dealer to fix.

I have the same problem with my rear system. My front dual climate control works on 1,2,3 but my rear (from both the front overhead, and rear overhead controls) only works on 3. I've been told that it's the switch(?). but i'm unsure. I'm going to try getting a switch from a salvage yard, but not sure if that's the fix or not.

while on the subject of the a/c and heater controls. I have the slide up/down dual climate control, and the light behind the passenger side hot/cold bar is burned out. The drivers side has light, but the passenger side doesn't and it bugs me to death! How hard is it to change out that light bulb, or what do i have to do to switch it? Thanks!!! (Really didn't mean to thread jack, sorry)

What year? Front HVAC controls? Manual controls?
Probably the blower motor resistor/relay module. It's located at the bottom of the HVAC case on the right side near the blower motor.
Here's a picture of where it would be located on the HVAC assembly, #5 is the resistor, #6 is the wiring connector:

Here's a picture of the mounting of the resistor:

Hope this helps you out:D . BTW this info is for '01 GM trucks.

what he said about that resistor is the fix for the blower only working on one speed.

as for the light being out, you need to replace the whole unit, for the non auto i believe its 180$
so if that light bugs you 180$ worth go order one up otherwise i would leave it lol

Fortune50, what book are you getting those great picture illustrations from, Chilton? All I have ever dealt with are Haynes and they don't have anything like those in their books.

Helm's huh, I have never heard of that, is that what GM uses? Where can I find them to buy, those illustrations are so much easier to understand than the Haynes pics.

Go to their website and pay alot of $$, or be patient and find a set off eBay like I did for much less.

Can someone post an image, or tell me where the Blower Relay is located for a 2002 Tahoe w/rear air & manual controls? I talked with a mechanic before buying, and he suggested a relay. Speed 5 does not work. Can't find where the part goes. Do I have to pull the blower motor, or is it behind the dash controls?

Did you get this figured out? The illustration above should point you in the right direction so far as where the resistor/relay module is located.
