Cruise control

I have a 99 Tahoe, cruise control started working part time then finally not at all. I checked it as per alldata subscription. It appears the ecm is defective. I hate to replace ecm unless sure any other ideas.

Check brake light switch, cruise fuse, cruise wires from switch on turn signal stalk.

I followed the diagnostic outline recommended by alldata which covers your recommendations. It appears the ecm is the problem. Thanks for your response.

Gotcha. can you unhook the PCM from the Cruise?
