My Haynes manual says:

P0420 = Catalyst system efficiency below threshold, left bank

P1345 = Crank shaft position sensor/Camshaft position sensor correlation

P0430 = Catalyst system efficiency below threshold, right bank

Hope this helps!

Haynes Manual says:

a) Connect a vacuum gauge to an intake manifold vacuum source.

b) Warm the engine to operating temp.

c) Note and record the vacuum reading at idle.

d) Open throttle until the engine speed is about 2000rpm.

e) Release the throttle and quickly record the vacuum reading.

f) Perform the test three more times, recording the reading after each test.

g) If the reading after the fourth test is more than one in-Hg lower than reading record at idle, the catalytic converter, muffler or exhaust pipes may be plugged or restricted.

HOPE THIS HELPS!

The above test checks for restricted convertors. The computer is seeing that both of them are not working. Could they be plugged yes but both at the same time. Highly unlikely.

Putting my work hat on, I would adress the 1345 code before anything else. Has anybody had the distributor out or has anyone had the intake manifold off lately. I have had them WAY off(another shops mistake), I had a 4.3 with the distributor off more than 35 degree's. It still ran okay, it was advanced so for you could actually hear the coil making a hugh spark trying to jumo the gap. I spent 3 hrs trying to get that correct. If they off, they are a pain to get the last 5-20 degrees. but if this has been going on for a while it could of damaged both cats.

John

Ps I see you might of fixed the 1345 code, what did you DO or find wrong?
