Ok, I can only get this sucker to work if I bang on it hard a bunch of times...wiggling the connector doesn't seem to help...so I don't think the connector is the issue. I suspect it is a bad solder joint on the circuit board. Wonder if someone has experienced this and found a cold solder joint or some other defect that is repairable.

dash circuit board.jpgWell, I found the issue...this little device is missing, I am not sure what it is, maybe a small resistor or maybe a fuse, but perhaps someone will tell me. Maybe I just need to solder it shorted?

Litttle thingee resolved

Well, the small device that is missing on B11 terminal is a capacitor to gnd for signal filtering. This cap is used to clean the signal from any oscillating electric noise. It has burned on the 12volt B11 terminal. This missing cap should not affect the working of the dash cluster, hence it would not work by banging on it. So I feel that the B11 12volt terminal is not making a good connection. This connector is pin & wiper type, not pin & sleeve, so the little wiper in side the connector has probably lost its spring and not connecting...I will try to put maybe a small piece of 24ga copper wire inside to force a better connection.
