Daughter has an '05 Tahoe with towing pkg.
It needs the electric brake controller added.
Is there a plug already up behind the dash?...that the controller plugs into?
Thanks

Nope you need to hard wire it in, you should see under the drivers side dash area around where the park brake elease is some wires rapped up should be a red blue and i think a white one the you have to go under the hood fuse block and install i think is a 30 or 40 amp fuse I can't remember off the top of my head but if you look at the cover of the fuse block it will tell you location and fuse size.

I just put a Tekonsha P3 in mine. Tekonsha offered a plug that was for the controller on one end and vehicle specific on other. Made it plug and play and very clean install.

Agree with Valkyrie rider. I just put a p3 in my 05 and with the tekonsha 3015p kit it was plug and play. You plug in to to second from the left top row of the electrical panel in the drivers footwell. Whole job took 15 minutes.
