20 cars got hit overnight including mine and one tire on each vehicle was slashed. I was pissed. Even broke the lock because stupid me tried to drop the spare tire the wrong way and thought the mechanism was broken So I tried to carefully remove the entire plastic tubing that goes to the thing and broke it in the process. Finally figured it out, then realized my spare had no air in it. So drama drama drama, finished and now worried that this idiot can and will strike again at will just because they can. Looks like it will cost me $100+ to replace the tire. :flame::flame::flame:

Thanks Man. Im over it, sort of, but still worried that it can happen again at any random time. The local PD was called and they actually sent an officer out to write down the plate numbers of all of the vehicles involved and asked for mine when I called to report it. Theres a liquor store on the same street where I park (on Street parking where I live unfortunately) and others including myself, believe that the liquor store brings around trouble makers and already inebriated individuals.

PD is located the next street over so im now going to try and park across from it whenever possible. I wonder if theres some sort of in vehicle surveillence system out there where I can record overnight.

Here's to hoping being across the street from the PD works, around here, umm, that is the safest place to be for the criminals...lol

Well about the vehicle surveillance systems... I am not entirely sure if there is vehicle specific, but they are not overly complicate and if you are willing to spend a little money on it they are not hard to install.

As a quick side note, while I was living at college I had between 1-2k stolen from me in stuff. First time it was a 3 sub sound system, 2 amps, and a capacitor. The second time it was a mountain bike.

But, that being said I then decided to work with my school to try to get a surveillance system installed campus wide. If you wanted to get one installed in your car the hardest part would be direction, as the cameras will only cover 90-ish degrees of the 360 possible degrees that something could happen. After solving that (buying more than 1 camera) you just need a device to store the video on, and something to power it all... oh wait your car comes with this thing called a battery ;)

BUT, ideally you don't need it. If you would like to know more about this, feel free to give me a should I will do whatever I can to help you out. I know it sucks to have someone damage something that you care about. Good luck!

Thanks Gibsonsynthetics. Sorry to hear about your gear being stolen. ITs the worst feeling anyone can go through to have their things ripped off without ever knowing who did it. I continue to search for multi camera systems for Automotive use and I saw a few on ebay that looks good but are a little pricey. Im thinking maybe I can put together something on my own without having an already setup module like the mirror cams which are about $300-$400.....I would probably need a total of three cameras, one on each side of the rear view mirror angled to view each side of the vehicle and probably either one in the center facing rear to catch the interior. Something I;ll need to save up for thats for sure! Thanks again!
