I'm new to this forum... just bought a white 03 z71 tahoe last weekend. I am having some issues with my fuel gauge or something. The dealer that i bought it from said whenever the needle hits 1/4 tank the car is on empty... what could cause this? How can i fix it? I also bought my tahoe for $9,999... is that a good deal?

How many miles?
I never took it to a 1/4 tank yet. I'm going to try it out and see what happens. I read some posts and some people said it could be the fuel pump, fuel pump sending unit, fuel filter, or a sticky floater. I'm gonna see what happens when i take it to a quarter tank and if it goes empty ill replace all those things since its all one unit. Hope that fixes it.... any good articles on dropping a fuel tank on a 03 tahoe?
