I am assuming from your username that it is a 96 Hoe? 2x4 or 4x4? When was the last time the tranny was serviced? Flushed and filters changed?

I just got my hoe a week ago. i am fixing it slowly. It is 4x4 and the guy i got it told me he had the engine rebuilt. And a new transmission. That's all know about it. It has 249000 miles on the body. The engine was throwing a mass air flow code and a cam sensor code as well fixed both of them and there still coming up. Abs light is on too but i don't think that's making it jump or jerk like that.

Could be a worn valvebody in the trans. Could be the TCC solenoid, could be numerous other things. Shure it isnt a missfire? Plugs/Cap/Rotor/Wires been changed? How were the Cam sensor and MAF sensor codes taken care of?
