Hi people, new here but have a 2000 Tahoe new body style for 9 years. Truck is in mint condition and runs great. I just installed a K&N air system on my sons VW and he said that it made a big difference in performance.
My question is; Would it make a big difference in my truck performance if I installed the same system? If so what would be the benifits?

Better gas mileage if you don't drive it to crazy
K&N says it dynoed at 14 horsepower more with the intake on it
It sounds louder inside around 2k

I love mine and feel it made a big difference

The mpg improvement is temporary 'til the ECM recalibrates itself. The extra hp is at the top end of rpms. So you've got to ask yourself, do you need something like this? Nah. But do you want something like this, he11 yeah! Is it worth $300 for a louder induction noise? You'll have to decide.
