metallic or ceramic brake pads for a Tahoe?

Hi All, Anyone know what type of brakes GM recommends for a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. Metallic or ceramic? Seems that metallic would be safer. Thanks.

i been using carbon ceramic with great success
