Morimoto hid install

Has anyone gotten a check engine light after installing hids? 2015 Tahoe. I bought the morimoto 35w ballasts with 5500k bulbs. I figured its where I had to remove the air box but not sure.

Are you using the relay or direct wiring? Also did read the error code from the OBDII port?

I installed my Morimoto HIDs with the relay harness and no issues.

Kit with the relay harness. The light went away after 15-30 Minn's of driving. I believe it was unplugging the maf sensor when removing the air box.

your stock light circuit does not have enough power,
and wrong type of control (PWM) for HID.

either add HID power harness, or switch to LED using stock wiring control.

If you turn on ignition with maf disconnected you will get an error code. As mentioned dic light will go out after driving a while if you did set the light. FYI engine wont start with maf disconnected.
