I have a 2007 Tahoe with the 2007 disc for navigation. I was able to get my hands on the 2011 version 6.0 navigation disc. When I ran the upgrade it said ugrading system for a while and now I see the upgraded map.
Here's my problem - I remember reading a couple days ago that going to a certain new version allows for a firmware upgrade that would make everything look tighter and better on the screen. I don't know if that means all versions past that particular version have the same firmware update or if I have to get that upgrade specifically before moving to the 2011 upgrade I just went to. After my upgrade completed I did not notice a difference in appearance.
