Very strange problem. Purchased a 99 Suburban yesterday with 127,xxx miles, took it to oil change place, had oil changed, a/c evac and recharge, and state inspection. They noted and recorded the mileage on their receipt. Drove the car 90 miles, stopping along the way to fill tank with gas, and reset the trip odometer to 0. Now odometer reads 239,xxx miles.

I have never in my life seen this. At first I called the guy who sold me the car and all but accused him of lying about the miles, till I noticed that the oil change place had recorded it as lower as well.

Any else ever seen this? Any ideas?
